Thankful to know that everything is more about where I am going than about where I am from, I am a writer/artist embracing life with perspective...

6 weeks hubbing: enjoying learning more about other's perspectives, enjoying writing and considering the direction i want to go with this.

3 months hubbing: enjoying reading as much as writing, still wondering how serious I can get with hubbing.

10 months hubbing: still enjoying the people I meet on HubPages, still enjoying writing as well as reading, and now enjoying learning to "work" at hubbing.

12 months hubbing: hard to believe, people are always interesting, reads are usually great, writing is still fun, but my latest endeavors to learn to "work" at hubbing are still a new phase for me--fun to learn about it when I have the time.

20 months hubbing: have just met an unexpected goal (see the HubPages milestone hub linked below), finally beginning to feel like I am navigating hp better, still enjoying learning more about writing, meeting interesting people and reading their work.

24 months hubbing:  ("happy anniversary to us" hub linked below)  I still have a lot to learn if I'm going to write for the web, but I have come to enjoy writing even more due to passing through HubPages.

Developing a HubPages presence is interesting work.  Taking a look at others' hubs and interacting with other authors is an important part of the process.

I've enjoyed writing about a wide variety of topics.  Though there isn't anything really new under the sun, my work is orginal.

I like it when an article is poetry and I want to learn more about writing that kind of poetry.  I like to write about my faith, particularly if I can offer hope to the hopeless, encouragment to the disheartened, or guidance to a seeker through the foundation of my faith.  I like to write about nationalism for everyone, just as I like to encourage family traditions, because seeking the high road for one's own people makes the world a better place.  I like to be busy with my own hands and to write about the things I do, as well as to interact with others about the things they are doing.  I like to learn and grow and write.  Did I mention that I like to write?

It would be lovely to have you check out some samples of my hubs:

How To (project) hubs are a lot of fun to put together; see three examples of my work herehere, and here.  As well, this Number 2 in a Crochet Series might be of interest to you.

Food is a popular topic with nearly everyone. Two of my recipes are here and here, along with two out of several on the benefits of flax seed that can be found here and here.

Hand in hand with food are health topics.  It's always a learning experience to put one of these hubs together.  Here is one on boosting our memory and here is one for those who may be allergic to cow's milk.  You also might take a look at this and this.

Writing about life's general stuff and such is sheer pleasure, especially when it makes others smile.  Two you might enjoy are here and here.

Good music being integral to life's enjoyment, you'll find that my work references it often. Here is a hub for you to enjoy in December.

Book reviews are neat writing projects. Here and here you can find two of my favorites. I'm not sure if I've even done 10 book reviews yet, but more are planned.

Living with character and integrity are always interesting topics to think through as current events develop.  You can find my work on some of the issues here, here, here, and here.

One reason I joined HP was to write about topics that are important to me.  You might like to see this, this, and this.

The green theme of our times has been fascinating to study and write about.  You might like to see a sampling of my hubs on ecology issues here and here.

Here is Number 7 in my Gardening Photo Series.  Are you familiar with platycodons? This is Number 10 on Black Iris.  Have you met them yet?

Holidays are always a great topic to read and write about.  Here and here you can find some of my work on them.

I've started a series of very short stories themed by the phrase Home for the Holidays. You can find a sampling of them here, herehere, and here.  If you take a look at them I would be honored to hear what you think about the work.

It was an honor to receive two Hub of the Day awards.  You can see those hubs here and here.

A HubPages Milestone: 100/500 highlights a bit of my journey and it can be found hereTwo Years on HubPages: Our Second Anniversary can be found here.  It's been an interesting journey, and a great learning experience.

These samples of my work will be updated periodically, but with over 160 hubs posted you can see that this is just a quick look at the work I've done with HubPages.

I have a goal to post 200 hubs by the end of 2011--we'll see.  Either way, HP is a great place for people who enjoy writing!   Update: today is Dec. 30, 2011 and I have 151 hubs posted. Don't think I'm going to make my 200 this year.  However, I thank other hubbers for bringng me to nearly 900 followers as of today.  895 is an amazing number to me!  Okay--new update--had to come back and say an extra thank you to everyone who helped me reach the 900 by the end of the year!
