You Are An Immeasurably Precious Grand Daughter To Us!
Precious granddaughter,
Such an extraordinary treasure-
You are held close inside our hearts!
Second pink daughter
To our son and his wife (your father,
And dear mom), another sweetheart!
Cherished dear sister,
To your wonderful big sister,
Mysterious babe, lone concert.
Her new visitor
Here to stay, protected, secure,
You will keep one and all alert!
Sweet, sweet baby grandchild,
Even in prayer
Words cannot convey
How priceless and loved you are,
Yet, our Heavenly Father knows!
Dearest AG,
So named because truly, the Lord’s grace is our only complete joy, I thank and praise God for you, my fourth grandchild.
Praying God’s Word over you will be one of the great joys of my life and I look forward to seeing you grow in the knowledge of His Word.
May His grace continue to guard you now at your beginning and carry you throughout your life.
May His Word guide you, becoming your food and drink for living, blessing you with a fruitfulness that magnifies His Name and Word in and through you.
May His presence encourage you as you walk with Him day by day, and may you live out the song of grace that is the birthright of your name.
May His Spirit give you the understanding that protects you from any knowledge that is not His and any wisdom that does not come from Him, assuring that all of His good gifts will be yours through His Son, Jesus the Christ.

Congratulations on your new sweet grandbaby (as they say here in Texas). I'm old enough to have grandchildren, but started so late (35) that I'm still working on the children part. I've written poems for my kids but not thought of posting on hubpages. Great idea to announce and celebrate!

It doesn't matter what they are called, grandbabies are precious! :)
You might like to post your poems, especially if you have a themed group of them. Doing so is a new experience for me. My little ones are so young--I'm not sure if I will change the poems over time, or add other poems to the posts as these babies grow up.
Somehow, at this same time I've gotten up my courage to begin posting some short stories themed around "home for the holidays." We'll see how it goes... I guess it's because poetry and fiction are such personal work that posting it comes with an element of embarrassment. :-)
