My Grandson Will Visit
Giggling footsteps, happy smiling hugs,
Little arms wrapping around my neck,
Kisses on his button nose.
Listening in earnest to stories,
Jammies curled 'round wiggly legs,
Sleepy head upon my shoulder.
Sunny eyes eating breakfast ask,
“What shall we do today, Grandmama?”
“Can we have an adventure?”
“Could we paint aeroplanes and ladybugs,
Or hike to the ice cream store?”
“We might even see a soldier!”
“Your wish is my command, little one,
Today is my day to enjoy you!”
“You are so special to me.”
"Tomorrow we must do something else."
“But this day...why, today is
Our day for being together.”
“You see,
Grandmama
loves you
very much.”
My Precious Grandson,
Lives are woven with change and your life will be no different, but you may count on my love and prayers.
May you live according to God's Word, glorifying Him in all that you do and say, gaining His richest blessings to help you keep your feet in a good path.
May He make His face to shine upon you and give you His peace by granting you a desire for His Word that causes you to make what He says the food and drink of your life, with the result being that your path grows brighter and brighter.
May God grant you a love for His fellowship that causes you to continually seek His face according to His Word through His Son, Jesus the Christ.
May His presence be your joy and His grace be your strength all the days of your life, and as you discover the truths bound up in the fact that He is our only true joy, may you find that you are complete in Him.

He's a precious little guy. Recently, his mommy was reading to him and he sweetly interrupted her to ask if he could please pause her for a minute. :)

Enjoy those years with your grandson while he is young. They fly by quickly but the memories you create with him will last a lifetime.
