Quotes Regarding Truth
❖ Playing games with truth is the worst kind of Russian-roulette, yet the topic of truth is rarely even discussed, and more and more often not practiced.
To realize that someone we trusted has become untrustworthy is a crushing blow, but the most important thing to remember is that any of us are capable of telling a lie under the right circumstances.
A hub on the importance of maintaining the integrity that truthfulness gives us for our own peace of mind and for all of our relationships would be a good idea.
This hub, though, is designed to help us think about some thoughtful quotes on truth so we can focus on how honesty and dishonesty shape our thinking and our living.
While you take a look at these truth quotes, keep in mind the truth behind this quote, "Those who practice deceit forsake the mercy that could be theirs."
We want to make sure that the following is not true about us:
“Too Often, The First Reaction To Truth Is Hatred.”
A Practical Look at Honesty:
Timeless Truth Quotes
❖ One of my favorite quotes, “Truth invites scrutiny, error demands tolerance” has inspired me to post this list of truth quotes for HubPages.
Here is definitive instruction from God's Word for Believers, "Speak the truth in love."
This is one that should be heralded on Valentine’s Day, "True love would rather receive hate for telling the truth than adoration for telling lies."
One of the most humorous reads, "How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four; Calling A Tail A Leg Doesn’t Make It A Leg." (This is from a politician, no less!)
The most recent I’ve come across is, “A little truth makes deception acceptable.”

I like this hub about the truth. Here's another one:
When in doubt, tell the truth. --Mark Twain
I think the truth is essential in any good relationship. Voted/rated up.
this one was my favorite "True love would rather receive hate for telling the truth than adoration for telling lies." It is kind of like..."I would rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not"
I am glad that God has absolute truths whether people believe them or not. We can count on Him being true to us.
I like this truth hub , im going to share it with friends in facebook and rated it useful.
Oooh, love this and love the title. There seems to be this sense of entitlement even when it comes to blatantly lying. The cop-out is to say "I misspoke" - sigh! And the liar gets away with it.
One of my favorites goes something like this:
'To thine ownself, be true'
I enjoyed your hub - rated up! Yay!
Great hub about truth!
One of my favorites is - “A thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it.” - Oscar Wilde
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing in this very thoughtful way. Here is one of my own:
"Sometimes the kindest truths are left unsaid." ~ Winsome
I enjoyed reading these. They will come in useful. Rated Up and others.
Thoroughly beautiful. You have an amazing mind!
Wonderful Post! I always liked this one from the Bible.
"You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free"
Sunnie
A suggestion: "People only fight for something they hope to be so, not for what they know to be so. Nobody is willing to die to prove that 2+2=4."
This is a paraphrase, not a quote. I wish I could remember the exact quote, and who said it.
If only more people could only get this point of view. I agree whole heartedly with it. Respect for each other is what it is all about. Trouble is, the ones who respect are not always given the same.
Love it! - "Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth," Oscar Wilde - I love this stuff!
Interesting. I like when people start an explanation with, "well the truth is" or "truthfully..." I usually expect some lie or deception to follow:(
Awesome hub. Most people have trouble excepting that there are spiritual laws. Gravity works weather you believe in it or not. So do spiritual laws. It doesn't even matter what you call them. They still work. Karma, what goes around comes around, or what God calls it reaping and sowing.
Great hub! Voted up!
Really awesome hub! And the truth be told.you are an inspiration for me. I really enjoy your work. You are detailed and insightful! Honest! :-)
Nice hub. I am following your hubs. Karma governs the world. People deny it but it does. Voted up.

This is a beautiful hub... I wish most believers understood that The Truth needs to be spoken in love and not in condemnation...I liked this one especially 'Truth Is Beautiful, Without Doubt; But Without Doubt, So Are Lies.'
Nice going.God Bless!
